Vice President Vice President Kashim Shettima launches ARISE Human Capital Development Strategic Plan and Local Government Human Capital Development Implementation Roadmap
Vice President Kashim Shettima has officially launched the ARISE Human Capital Development Strategic Plan and Local Government Human Capital Development Implementation Roadmap, which underscores the government’s commitment to investing in human capital development, recognizing it as both a moral imperative and an economic necessity.
The initiative is reportedly part of President Bola Tinubu’s broader human capital development agenda, aimed at enhancing Nigeria’s workforce capabilities and improving socioeconomic outcomes nationwide.
In his address during the event held at the state banquet hall, government house, Uyo, Shettima commended the state government for becoming the first state in Nigeria to develop a strategic plan for the implementation of the human capital development road map. He equally appreciated the Governor for not only adopting the human capital development framework, but localizing its operation and placing people in the center of public policies.
He also used the occasion to applaud Governor Umo Eno for his style of leadership, which the Vice President said was worthy of emulation by other state Governors. He reiterated the confidence of President Bola Tinubu in Governor Umo Eno.
Government house correspondent Jane Uwa reports that the Vice President also during the visit embarked on a facility tour of the ARISE Park and Christ the King Model Primary school, where he equally appreciated the Governor for his huge investment in education and the reclamation project at the ARISE park.
