The Federal Ministry of Works has begun assessing flood-damaged sections of the Benin-Sagamu Expressway following recent heavy rainfall.
Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, says three major flood-prone locations have been identified in the Ondo section of the highway, with engineers carrying out technical evaluations to address the problem.
He said the ministry is considering improved drainage and other engineering solutions to prevent future flooding and ensure the safety of motorists.
