The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) is set to arraign former Minister of Science and Technology, Chief Uche Nnaji, before the Federal High Court in Abuja today over alleged certificate forgery.
Nnaji was arrested by security operatives at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on July 1 after returning to the Federal Capital Territory.
The ICPC said the former minister is being investigated for allegedly forging a degree certificate from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and presenting a fake National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge certificate during his ministerial screening in 2023.
The case will be heard by Justice Joyce Abdulmalik, where Nnaji is expected to enter his plea. Meanwhile, the Police are scheduled to arraign the Director-General of the alleged Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, and two others on Tuesday over charges of forgery and impersonation. Among those expected to testify are the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, and other government officials.
