The Federal Government has released 38.93 billion naira to 166 public tertiary institutions across Nigeria to address infrastructure challenges and improve teaching and learning facilities.
The intervention covers 79 universities, 46 polytechnics and 41 colleges of education. Universities will receive 28.5 billion naira, polytechnics 5.8 billion naira, while colleges of education will get 4.7 billion naira.
The Federal Ministry of Finance said the funds would support approved projects, improve institutional facilities and help implement agreements reached between the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
