President Bola Tinubu has urged politicians in Ekiti State to avoid premature declarations of interest in the 2030 governorship election, warning that such moves could distract Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration and affect governance.
The President gave the advice during a special thanksgiving service marking Oyebanji’s inauguration for a second term, held in Ado Ekiti. Tinubu, represented by Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, urged politicians to prioritise the interests of the state over personal political ambitions.
The President also commended Oyebanji for completing his first term and encouraged him to sustain an inclusive approach to governance.
